Now Accepting Applications

The Parkersburg Fire Department has begun taking applications for the position of probationary firefighter. Applications will be accepted until Friday, November 15, 2019. Applications are available at the Fire Chief’s office on the 1^st floor of the Parkersburg City Building or they can be downloaded from the employment section. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age at the time of application. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary to set for the exam. The Civil Service Commission will administer the test on Tuesday, November 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the Parkersburg High School Cafeteria. Check out our employment tab for more information.
