Family of five displaced by fire

 At 9:03 am, the Parkersburg Fire Department responded to the intersection of 10th Ave and Pike Street for a report of a structure fire. First units arriving just one minute after the call reported heavy smoke and fire in the front of the structure. Once determining that occupants of the structure were all out safely, the main body of fire was quickly knocked down. Fire damage was primarily to the front of the structure, but smoke damage was throughout. Investigation determined the fire to be accidental and the American Red Cross is assisting the family with housing and other needs.
