On Tuesday August 23rd, 2016 Parkersburg City Council voted unanimously to donate the Fire Department’s Reserve Ladder to the Waverly Volunteer Fire Department. The truck was purchased new by the city in 1985 from Sutphen. The truck is equipped with an aluminum ladder and waterway that extends to 65 feet.  The department used the ladder as a reserve apparatus for the last several years.  Prior to the truck being used as a reserve, it responded out of Station #5 on Blizzard Drive. The department did not have a need for the truck anymore due to it recently taking delivery of a new 75’ Pierce aerial truck.
