The Parkersburg Fire Department will begin taking applications for the position of probationary firefighter on Monday, September 27, 2021. Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Applications will be available at the Fire Chief’s office on the 1st floor of the Parkersburg City Building or they can be downloaded from the employment section. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age at the time of application. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary to set for the exam. The Civil Service Commission will administer the test on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parkersburg High School Cafeteria. Check out our employment tab for more information.
